Bio

Cindy Dominguez was born in New Mexico but lived most of her youth outside of the state. She landed back in New Mexico in 1984. She received a BA in Art History and Drawing/Painting from Westminster College in Utah, a BFA with a focus in Photography from the University of New Mexico, and a BA in Education from the College of Santa Fe. Her extensive travel and love for reading has shaped her aesthetic.

She has worked with a variety of black and white darkroom processes, color darkroom processes, large format, and digital imaging. Since 1985 Ms. Dominguez has created commissioned photographic works for Austin Chronicle, Santa Fe Magazine, and promo CD covers for various musicians. She has placed work in numerous group and solo shows in TX, AZ, MA, and NM.

She currently runs the Art program at Menaul School, an independent international boarding school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the founder of Luanem Gallery and the Artist-in-Residence program at Menaul School.
